Letter of the Day
Where is concern for students?
Regarding “PE cuts a tough call for Pinellas” (Joe Henderson, Metro, May 9): In today’s push-button society where people are so sedentary school administrators are cutting PE to three days a week. Children today are under great stress. We don’t seem to consider students in these days of accountability. Physical education being cut back to three days a week probably doesn’t hurt the children as much physically as it does mentally. Children need a release. Physical education is the program that gives them a chance to relax and get moving. Agnes Murphy Valrico
