Thank you for your Letter of the Day, “Where are today’s protest songs?” (Your Views, Aug. 22). I would like to inform the writer, J.P. Stakun, that protest songs are alive and well at our community-owned, non-commercial radio station, WMNF, at 88.5 on your radio dial.
Our radio station has expressed a conscious awareness of the deepest concerns of our diverse population. May I ask you to tune in to discover that the voices of protest have not subsided?
In fact, you will be surprised to find that they lament about some of the same anti-establishment issues that you find so disturbing.
I trust that the good folks of this radio station will also be a source of help and healing for you and for all those who served our country in good faith.
