Ailing Tampa girl gets dream shopping spree
Esteffani Diaz-Pedroso of Tampa celebrated her 12th birthday by experiencing a long-awaited dream-come-true: a shopping spree to Tyrone Square Mall. Esteffani was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia as an infant and has been battling the dreadful illness ever since. The Children's Dream Fund partnered with the retailers at the Tyrone Square Mall to make Esteffani's dream come true. She and her mother Maylin Pedroso arrived limousine for a full day of shopping in the mall, followed by dinner at Lee Roy Selmon's Restaurant.The Children's Dream Fund has been serving the needs of seriously ill children on the West Coast of Florida since 1981.
