5 tips for mixing prints and patterns
Few things strike fear in the heart of this fashion reporter like the trendy combining of prints and patterns in one outfit. Obviously, some fashionistas have the mixing gene in their blood. They can pair a floral print blouse and a striped skirt without looking as if they dressed in the dark. I prefer the safer route. I wear graphic prints with safe and simple solids, usually black. The few times I have tried for an interesting mix, it ended up a mess. That's because, like so many things, mixing results in madness if you don't follow some rules."I would rate the art of pattern mixing moderate in difficulty," local stylist Lisa Ford says.
