Donate groceries, feed animals at sanctuary fundraiser

Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary is hosting a daylong fundraiser to benefit All Faiths Food Bank.

The “Jam Out Hunger” event will have live music, games and family entertainment. Attendees can feed bears, big cats and other animals in the petting zoo on self-guided tours.

The jam session is from noon to 5 p.m. June 21 and admission is free with a bag of non-perishable groceries or cash donation to the food bank.

Mummers String Band, Bonfire Jam Band and Heather Downie Band will perform.

Big Cat Habitat & Gulf Coast Sanctuary, 7101 Palmer Blvd., Sarasota, is home to rescued tigers, primates, birds, tortoises, lions and more.
