What's New: Dry Dudz swimwear

Review: Dry Dudz swimwear and hybrid board shorts, $85 to 95, available at www.drydudz.com The pitch: Men's and women's apparel combines wicking material and a unique layer design "to produce fast-drying, comfortable performance clothing for everyone from hardcore surfers to casual swimmers." The skinny: Here in Florida, we spend so much time wearing our swimming suits, we need little more than a pair of flip-flops to get in the door at the most laidback establishments. But no one wants the casual transition to include leaving a puddle on your bar stool. Suits that don't dry fast enough leave us cold, in more ways than one.
Dry Dudz incorporated wicking material into its bikinis and board shorts, significantly reducing the drying time. While the board short material feels similar to traditional baggies, the material used for the silkier bikini appears heavier if not thicker. The shorts dry almost immediately; the other material stays wet, but it does pull the water off your skin. The suits are adorable. The bikini tops are flattering for all chest sizes. The women's bottoms and men's liners, designed to clip into the board short waistband, have a stylish layered look. And the colors and patterns work on many body types. These suits are ideal for people planning to spend all day socializing on and around the beach. Be aware when ordering that sizes run a lot smaller, perhaps because of the clingy spandex needed to absorb water away from the body.
