WEDU is hosting a free community movie night on Thursday, Aug. 22.
All are welcome to the free 7:30 p.m. screening of "The March," a film honoring the 50th anniversary of the march on Washington.
The story follows the 1963 March on Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King gave his stirring "I Have a Dream" speech.
This watershed event in the Civil Rights Movement is retold through remembrances of key players such as Jack O'Dell, Clarence B. Jones, Julian Bond and Andrew Young.
Other testimonials from stars Harry Belafonte, Diahann Carroll, Roger Mudd and Oprah Winfrey are also featured.
Following the film there will be a Q&A with local community members who participated in the historic march.
Reservations are required and those interested in attending are asked to visit http://weduthemarch.eventbrite.com/ to RSVP.
