Kids can make free and cheap valentine crafts at local workshops

Check into these free and cheap valentine and spring craft outtings for kids on the calendar for February and March.

 

Home Depot: Kids ages 5 - 12 can learn valuable skills such as measuring and following directions when they sign up to create a Trojan Horse bank. The activity is planned between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, March 1. For details, visit http://workshops.homedepot.com/workshops/kids-workshops.

 

Michaels: For just $2, kids can create their choice of valentines and spring crafts on various Saturdays in February and March. Activities last 30 minutes and are appropriate for ages 3 and up. Visit http://www.michaels.com/Kids-Store-Events/store-events-kids,default,pg.html for times and dates.

For a limited time, three valentine crafts for families have been added to the calendar this coming week for free. One Monday, Feb. 10 from 5 - 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb 12 from 10 a.m. - noon and 5 - 7 p.m. families can create together, while supplies last.  

 

Lowes: The activity for Saturday, Feb. 8 is a wooden love note holder at the store’s “Build & Grow” kid clinic. These free activities fill quickly so check back often and register soon or you may have to travel to another Lowes location if you don’t secure a spot far enough in advance.
