Adoption fees on black pets reduced by half at HSTB

Published:   |   Updated: November 19, 2013 at 10:58 AM

November is “Back in Black” month at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and they're celebrating by reducing adoption fees of all black animals by half.

Through Nov. 30, adopt a black cat, dog, rabbit or pocket pet and save on the usual adoption fees.

Regular prices on adoptables range from $10 for pocket pets such as rats and hamsters on up to $150 for puppies and small dogs.

Each HSTB animal has been vaccinated, health-checked, de-wormed, de-fleaed, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Pets who are 4 months or older receive a rabies vaccine. All dogs receive a DHLPP vaccine and are heartworm-tested at 5 months or older. All cats are tested for FeLv and cats 6 months and older are tested for FIV.

The Humane Society is located at 3607 N Armenia Ave., Tampa.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday for adoption visitations.
