WASHINGTON – Democratic Florida Sen. Bill Nelson is expected to face a tough re-election race but he's starting in a better position than other vulnerable senators, a Morning Consult poll shows.
Of 12 "most vulnerable" senators up for re-election this year, Nelson has the highest net approval rating at 25 points.
That was down 2 points from the last Morning Consult poll — as Republicans pointed out — but Nelson's approval/disapproval rate was 51/26.
Overall, 11 vulnerable Republicans saw their approval ratings drop.
Republican Sen. Marco Rubio's approve/disapprove was 47/37.
