The Ybor City Museum Society is offering a peek inside some of the historic neighborhood’s rarely seen interiors on Thursday.
The Buildings Alive! Ybor City Architecture Hop runs from 5 to 10 p.m., with guided tours by experts on the history, architecture and restoration of nine Ybor buildings.
Most of the buildings on the tour are occupied by private businesses, making it rare that the public sees inside them, the Ybor City Museum Society said.
Trolleys will shuttle guests along a route that includes Carne Chophouse, the Cuban Club, Florida Business Interiors, USAmeribank and the J.C. Newman Cigar Company. Each stop will include food and beverages from Ybor City restaurants.
Admission to the hop is $45. Guests can register online at the museum society’s website or pay at the door.
Guests can start the hop at two check-in points: Stantec, located at 2205 N. 20th St., where there will be free parking for 120 cars, or
Centro Ybor,1536 E. Seventh Ave., where paid parking will be available at the Centro Ybor garage.
This is the third year the museum society has hosted the event. The hop features different buildings each year.
