Temptations, Four Tops coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall

The Temptations and Four Tops will bring decades of Motown hits to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater in February.

The Temptations started in 1961, known as much for their choreography as their songs, was the first Motown group to win a Grammy. Among the group’s hits are “My Girl,” “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg,” “Get Ready,” “Just My Imagination” and “Papa Was A Rolling Stone.” The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.

The Four Tops are one of the consistent hit makers since 1954 with “Baby, I Need Your Loving,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” and “Reach Out (I’ll Be There).” The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and received a lifetime Grammy in 2009.

The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Feb. 21. Tickets go on sale at noon Saturday.

Reserved tickets are $45, $65 and $89, and will be available at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket Office, 1111 McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater. Tickets can be purchased by calling (727) 791-7400. Tickets also can be bought online at RuthEckerdHall.com.
