Switchfoot to play free 97X concert in St. Petersburg

Grammy-winning alt-rock band Switchfoot is set to play the last 97X free show of 2013.

The band, along with Cleveland rockers J. Roddy Walston and the Business, will perform Dec. 27 at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, according to the radio station’s website.

The show is free, but you’ll need to pick up a ticket from one of the 97X ticket drop locations before the concert.

Switchfoot, which originally found success on the Christian music charts, broke through to the mainstream in 2003 with their hit “Meant to Live.”

The band’s new album, “Fading West,” is scheduled for release in January.
