AT THE MOVIES (Opens Friday) "Lawless" stars Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf star as bootlegging brothers in prohibition-era Virginia, as they take on a sadistic Chicago lawman (Guy Pearce) who rolls into town to shut down their booze operation.WILLKOMMEN – AGAIN (Friday through Sept. 30) Actor David Mann leads the cast as the Emcee as Freefall Theatre reprises its very popular production of "Cabaret." The Kander and Ebb musical is back for a limited run at the freeFall Theatre in St. Petersburg. Tickets are $37 to $44. BANDS AND BARBECUE (Saturday) Summer Jam 8, the annual Ybor City concert festival will feature 15 bands, local art and a barbecue spread out over two venues. The music starts at 6 p.m. and the party should go well into the next morning at Crowbar and New World Brewery. Tickets are $15. GET YOUR GECKO ON (Saturday) Gulfport's annual quirky ode to the Gecko – and send off to summer – includes strolling street characters, musicians, artists, merchants and a street dance on Beach Boulevard South. SPEND A LITTLE TIME WITH BILL (Saturday) Bill Maher, the sardonic host of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher will tell you what's on his mind – we bet that's plenty – during an appearance at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets are $89, $65 or $50. SHARPEN THE HORNS (Saturday) The University of South Florida Bulls football team kicks off its 2012 season with a 7 p.m. game against the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga at Raymond James Stadium. Tickets run from $35 to $50. LATIN NIGHT IN O-TOWN (Sunday) Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias appear on the same stage for the first time ever on their co-headlining concert tour, which makes a stop at the Amway Center in Orlando. OLD SCHOOL LABOR DAY (Saturday and Sunday) Shephard's Beach Resort in Clearwater is dusting off a lineup of 90s-era hip-hop heavies for Old Skool Weekend. See Kid 'n Play and C+C Music Factory (Saturday) and Vanilla Ice, Rob Bass and DJ Skribble (Sunday). SHOP TIL' YOU DROP (Thursday) Fashionistas will be out in force for the fourth annual Fashion's Night Out, the worldwide shopping event created by Vogue editor Anna Wintour to stimulate fashion sales. International Plaza and other area department stores have a variety of events planned.
