British pop-rock stars Bastille, whose boisterous, earworm single, “Pompeii,” has been bouncing around the Top 40 since late last year, will headline the 97X BBQ on St. Petersburg’s downtown waterfront.
The annual, free music festival, formerly known as the 97X Backyard BBQ, happens May 17 in Vinoy Park.
Also set to perform at the all-ages concert are Sleeper Agent, Kongos, The 1975, Bad Suns and others.
Tickets are required, but are available for free from 97X ticket drop locations. A list of ticket drops is available at the radio station’s website.
New this year: those who don’t want to travel to a ticket drop location can purchase tickets online through Ticketmaster for $20.
