The sailing vessel Gloria docked along the Riverwalk at the Tampa Convention Center on Monday for four days of free public tours.
The Gloria is the flagship of the Armada de la República de Colombia — the Colombian Navy. A training vessel, the Gloria was built in Spain in 1968 as the smallest of four similar ships.
The three-masted barque measures 250 feet in length and takes its name from the national anthem of the South American nation — “Oh Unfading Glory!”
Ports of call in June have included Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Veracruz, Mexico.
Tours are available 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday, according to the Tampa Convention Center. Go to the Tampa Convention Center website for information.
