Monday morning musings

It may look bleak outside but that doesn’t start breaking fluff.

♦ First up, the announcement that Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour” is stopping at The Forum on May 20-21.

The world-famous acrobats will be interpreting the King of Pop’s greatest hits and it does look pretty cool. Is two days enough for this tour? Well see. Tickets go on sale Friday to the general public.

♦ Big announcements also coming on the “Today” show. No, Ann Curry isn’t coming back.

Co-host Savannah Guthrie got married! And she’s pregnant! Four months along, she said. I’m guessing no champagne for her at her reception.

Count me among those not looking forward to the five-month baby shower that will now ensue on the NBC morning show. It’s going to be all about strollers and nursery decorations. I can see it already. UGH!

The morning shows have already made me a channel flipper because they seem to talk more about themselves than the news.

Just tell me the weather. Maybe it’s time to check out Sam Champion and his new morning show that started today on The Weather Channel.

♦ Just a heads up if you haven’t seen the multiple commercials on TV — “Frozen” is released on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday. Let it go, you know you’re going to buy it.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
