Actor Rebhorn pens his own obituary

I got my start in this illustrious journalism career (heh) writing obits for the Tampa Tribune.

Even as a 20-something, I thought it was sad that a lifetime of living could be boiled down to three paragraphs.

I think actor James Rebhorn’s idea of writing his own obituary is a great one. Why leave it to someone else?

He urged his two daughters to mourn him only as long as necessary, because “they have much good work to do, and they should get busy doing it.”

Instead of listing all this movie and TV credits, he simply wrote he “was fortunate enough to earn his living doing what he loved.”
