Green Iguana closing North Dale Mabry location tonight

The Green Iguana Bar & Grill, and neighboring Hawaiian Village hotel and entertainment venue, in Tampa are closing at midnight tonight and will relocate to an undetermined location. The Stadium Green Iguana location at 2520 North Dale Mabry Hwy. has been sold and a car dealership will be built in its place, according to a news release. The Green Iguana continues to maintain locations at South Westshore Avenue, Anderson Road, Winthrop Town Center in Riverview and on Seventh Avenue in Ybor City. The North Dale Mabry location, however, also featured various concerts at its outdoor Hawaiian Village venue behind the restaurant. Rise Against, Gwar, Rick Ross and DJ Pauly D are among those who have performed there, and Blondie and Devo were scheduled to appear on Sept. 21 before their show was canceled earlier this month.
Tonight's closing also will feature a show with rappers Machine Gun Kelly and Tech N9ne.
