Carrollwood veterinarian covers all areas of cat care

CARROLLWOOD – All About Amore Cat Hospital, at 6178 Gunn Highway, has been open only since July of last year, but veterinarian Susan Mango has been practicing feline medicine for more than eight years.

Her previous clients are thrilled to learn she has opened her own practice. Although it has the word “hospital” in its name, All About Amore encompasses every aspect of cat care.

“We are a full-service cat hospital,” Mango said. “We cover everything from examinations, vaccines, dental care and prescription medicine to surgery. We offer grooming, which a lot of people don’t associate with cats, as well as food and retail products for the kitties.”

People often regard their cats as full-fledged members of the family and feel more comfortable in taking them to a veterinary practice that specializes in cat care, with no dogs or other kinds of animals to add to the stress. Cat owners want to know that their animals will be treated with compassionate care, and that is what All About Amore seeks to provide.

“When people come here, we want them to feel that they are welcome and to know that their cat is very important to us,” Mango said. “We want them to know that we are going to offer them the very best care for their kitties, and that they are not just another number. We try to give people that one-on-one attention and to answer all of their questions, so that they feel comfortable when they leave. It’s not just two or three minutes in an exam room and onto the next cat. We want to make sure that we are taking care of all their needs.”

While Mango and her staff are focused on their furry patients, they recognize the needs of cat owners as well. Mango ensures that cat owners know as much as possible about all aspects of their kitty’s health.

Additionally, to help accommodate working cat parents, All About Amore Cat Hospital is open on the first and third Saturday of each month, as well as until 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

“I think that helps a lot of people because we get a lot of appointments for those evenings, after people have gotten off work,” Mango said. “We are close to the Veterans Expressway, so we’re right on the way if people need to pick up food or medication on their way home.”

Mango invites cat owners to drop by the hospital to visit with Bagheera, Mango’s male paraplegic cat, who oversees the day-to-day operations when he’s not doing volunteer work with Paws For Friendship as a certified therapy cat.
