CABA golf tournament benefits Morning Star School

The Carrollwood Area Business Association has donated a portion of the proceeds from its annual golf tournament, On Dec. 11, CABA presented a check for $1,500 to Morning Star School. CABA also donated a portion of their 50/50 funds to Morning Star School in the amount of $459, for a total donation of $1,959.

The tournament was held Oct. 21 at TPC Tampa Bay.

Morning Star Catholic School in Tampa is a small, nonprofit diocesan school of approximately 70 students that specializes in educating elementary and junior-high age children with learning disabilities and related learning challenges. Special education instructors and a dedicated staff use a proven approach along with small classes of 10-12 students to help children learn how to achieve greater success in life.

Approximately 95 percent of their junior-high graduates earn their high school degree, with some continuing on to college. For more information, visit the school’s website.

CABA is a business professional association that offers access to more than 300 business owners/representatives in the Greater Carrollwood and Tampa area. They offer weekly events such as coffees, after 5’s, power lunches, networking on the 9’s and more.
