Valrico consultant receives award from Microsoft
VALRICO For the 10th consecutive year, computer consultant Kevin Weilbacher of Valrico has achieved Most Valuable Professional status for Microsoft Small Business Server products. He is one of 38 Small Business Server MVPs worldwide and joins forces with more than 4,000 MVPs — people recognized as helpful experts by Microsoft. The Microsoft MVPs are not employed by the software giant. These volunteers come from many careers, such as education, medicine, music, art, engineering and technology, and from about 100 countries. They answer more than 10 million questions a year on Microsoft online forums for various products, according to the Microsoft MVP site. "That's where I spend a lot of my time," said Weilbacher, "specifically in the various SBS (small business server) related forums. I also speak about Microsoft SBS products at local, regional and national conferences, workshops and user groups."Weilbacher also teaches at SMB Nation conferences and recently received the SMB150 Award for the second consecutive year. SMB distributes technology information for small- and medium-size businesses through digital channels, documents and conferences. Weilbacher owns KW Support & Consulting LLC and offers small businesses technical support and services, including first server solutions, workstation support for single users and managed support of existing servers. He provides hosted email, network security and local or cloud-based backup solutions for homes and businesses. Weilbacher and his wife, artist Susan Weilbacher, have lived in the Tampa Bay area about 40 years. He is a member of the Tampa Bay Small Business Server User Group and serves on the board of directors of the Greater Brandon Arts Council. Weilbacher's philosophy is embodied in his giving back to the local and worldwide community: "I firmly believe that if each of us tries to always choose to do the right and proper and loving thing (whether in business or in our personal lives), that we can, indeed, change the world."
