Progress Village hosts Family Fun Fest
PROGRESS VILLAGE - The party returned to Progress Village last weekend for the area’s annual Family Fun Fest. The outdoor event, which featured face painting, horseback rides and free barbecue, was coordinated by the Progress Village Civic Council. Kicking off with a parade throughout the Progress Village community, this year’s Family Fun Fest included a visit from County Commissioner Les Miller, Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Tampa, and other patrons of the Larry Sanders Progress Village Sports Complex. The day was made possible by the participation of area churches, schools and county groups like the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Black Advisory Council and the parks department.
