A Brandon woman with diminished mental capabilities has been safely located, hours after she went missing after leaving Tampa General Hospital on Friday night.
Police say Julie Chadwell, 25, was located at the Marion Street bus terminal, waiting at the correct bus route, after she met someone and walked around the city before returning home.
Police say Chadwell left the hospital around 9 p.m. after receiving treatment for a minor slip and fall, and indicated to hospital personnel that she would take a bus back home.
Her father reported her missing after she didn’t return home by 2 a.m.
According to her father, Chadwell has the mental capacity of a 15-year-old and typically functions and travels on her own. She also had not gone missing before.
