Gator cheerleading captain has Plant City roots
Plant City's Tarin Moses will be leading the cheers Saturday as the Florida Gators take the field for their first game of the season. Moses, 21, is in her second year as cheerleading captain of the Gators. She was also cheerleading captain during her days as a cheerleader for the Durant High School Cougars. Moses joined the Gator squad in 2009 and cheered during Tim Tebow's final season wearing the orange and blue. This is expected to be her final year on the UF sidelines as she hopes to graduate in May with a telecommunications degree. She interned this past summer as a sports reporter with a local TV station. Moses has been getting her share of publicity lately in online Gator fan blogs and beyond for her off-field romance with Jeff Driskel, who is competing with Jacoby Brissett for starting quarterback. She has been dating the 20-year-old Driskel since January.
