Doctor to discuss Affordable Care Act at Brandon synagogue

BRANDON – Congregation Beth Shalom of Brandon will host Dr. Larry Floriani, Florida State deputy director with Doctors for America, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the synagogue at 706 Bryan Road.

Floriani, a physician from Tarpon Springs who performs medical review work, will speak about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in his capacity as a part-time volunteer with Doctors for America.

“I became knowledgeable about the ACA through my medical training background and experience delivering health care, through Doctors for America educational materials and seminars and through personal research,” said Floriani.

“There is a lot of confusion amongst the public about the Affordable Care Act (especially of late),” he said. “Doctors are trusted messengers who want to present the facts – no spin – to help Floridians find the best coverage options available.”

He wants to impart the message that health care coverage is good medicine.

The public is invited, and reservations are not needed for this free talk at the temple. For information, contact Janice Perelman, Beth Shalom’s adult education chairwoman, at (813) 571-2029 or [email protected]
