Lil Wayne coming to Jannus Live in St. Petersburg

Lil Wayne never met a venue in Tampa Bay he didn't like.

The rapper has played the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, the USF Sun Dome, Coachman Park, Club Skye and others. And we know he's a fan of the Skatepark of Tampa.

Now he's coming to one of his most intimate venues yet: Jannus Live in St. Petersburg.

Further cementing its status as a dominant hip-hop venue, Jannus Live will host Lil Wayne on Sept. 1. Tickets start at a princely $75, but such is the price of seeing Weezy in such close quarters. Click here for details.

Now the bad news: Sept. 1 happens to be the same date Kendrick Lamar plays Amalie Arena in Tampa. That's going to cut way, way into Weezy's potential ticket base. But maybe if we dream big, there could be some crazy way one appears on stage with another that night. We already know they've recorded together. We can dream, can't we?

Either way, it's yet another big-name booking for Jannus, which in 2017 has booked not only legends like Nas and T.I., but up-and comers like Kodak Black, 21 Savage and Lil Uzi Vert. Weezy is yet another all-star addition.
