Photos: Descendents descend on Jannus Live in St. Petersburg for first local show in 21 years

The last time the Descendents came to Tampa Bay, Blink-182 had released only one album, and the Internet was barely a thing.

"Took us 21 years to get back," singer Milo Aukerman said Wednesday night from the stage at Jannus Live.

Yes, after more than two decades, Milo finally came back to St. Petersburg, drawing a nearly full crowd of aging punks with them.

More than 40 years after forming in Manhattan Beach, Calif., the punk icons played like they hadn't lost much of their edge, ripping with ferocity through classic hits like Everything Sux and Suburban Home. Aukerman also shouted out Chris Barrows of Tampa punk veterans the Pink Lincolns, standing off to the side of the stage.
