Judy Collins postpones Thursday’s concert in Clearwater due to injury

Judy Collins is out of commission. But only for a few weeks, it seems.

The 78-year-old singer has postponed Thursday's concert at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater due to injury. According to a statement from her spokesperson, the folk-pop veteran who sang Both Sides, Now broke her elbow in a fall, requiring minor surgery.

The good news is, fans won't have to wait long for a make-up date. Collins' show at the Cap will now take place March 16, according to the venue. Tickets for the original date will be honored at the new one. Refunds are available at point of purchase. Click here for details.

Now, this new date put the folks at the Cap in a pickle, because Michael Amante was previously scheduled to perform there on March 16. So his concert has been pushed back due to what the venue is simply calling a "scheduling conflict." The new date is April 7, and tickets for the original date will be honored there. This is the second time in as many weeks that a legendary artist has postponed a Clearwater date due to illness or injury — and coincidentally, the other one was also originally scheduled for Thursday. That would be Willie Nelson, who caught the flu and postponed his Ruth Eckerd Hall date until Feb. 28. Click here for details on that one.
