Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers, Ann Wilson coming to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa

Does it count as a supergroup if an all-time guitar god teams up with two all-time rock voices for a summer tour?

Maybe we'll find out when Jeff Beck, Bad Company's Paul Rodgers and Heart's Ann Wilson hit Tampa in August.

Beck and Rodgers are teaming up for a summer co-headlining run that'll hit Tampa's MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Aug. 26, with Wilson as a special guest. Tickets to the "Stars Align Tour" start at $25 and go on sale Friday. Click here for details.

Beck is on anyone's shortlist of the greatest rock guitarists of all time, and having the singers of Bad Company and Free (Can't Get Enough, Feel Like Makin' Love, Bad Company, All Right Now) and Heart (Alone, Barracuda, Crazy On You) deliver an assortment of their hits will make this show appeal to guitar nerds and radio listeners alike.

But what'll really be worth watching is if they team up for a song or two. Beck played in the Yardbirds with Jimmy Page, as did Rodgers in the Firm, and Wilson has long been a major Led Zeppelin fan. Maybe a cover of Stairway to Heaven is in order.
