SoundBytes: Magic Giant, Chick Corea, Jake Miller, Sponge and more

Magic Giant plays 97X Next Big Thing at 7 p.m. Saturday, but if that's too early for you, good news — they're appearing at an after party at the Hard Rock Cafe inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Around 11:30 p.m., they'll play a few songs in a performance that's free and open to anyone age 21 and up. Click here.

— Jazz fusion icon Chick Corea will play a couple of hometown shows with his Akoustic Band, featuring John Patitucci and David Weckl. They'll take place at 5 and 8:30 p.m. at the St. Petersburg College Music Hall, 6605 Fifth Ave. N. Tickets are $55 and up. Click here and here.

— Due to a scheduling conflict, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes have postponed their Feb. 9 concert at the Capitol Theatre to March 29. Tickets will be honored on the new date. Click here.
