UPDATE, 4:17: CF Kevin Kiermaier was back at the Trop, and at one point on the field with a glove on his left hand and protective wrapping on his right, the day after surgery to repair a torn UCL in his right thumb. He said the surgery went "as good as it could have" and the biggest challenge will be staying idle. He is expected to be out until mid-July. … INF Matt Duffy did some running at about 60 percent to test his sore hamstring and said it felt good enough that he is aiming to return when eligible on Friday in Boston.
