Lightning rookie tournament moved to Nashville

The Lightning's scheduled rookie tournament for this weekend in Estero has been moved to Nashville due to Hurricane Irma.

Tampa Bay's rookies will practice Thursday and Friday at Amalie Arena (closed to the public) before traveling to Nashville, where they will scrimmage against the Predators Saturday through Tuesday. Times and location are to be determined, though it sounds likely it'll be at the Ford Center.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be held at Germain Arena in Estero, with the Lightning, Predators, Capitals and Panthers participating. However, the Capitals and Panthers both pulled out of the tournament due to the pending storm.

This rookie tournament is a big showcase for prospects, especially for the likes of Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, who is hoping to make the team.
