If you’re looking for an elegant and incredibly fun weekend getaway with your family, look no further than the Waldorf Astoria Orlando’s Enchanted Evenings series held each weekend through August 31.
My family and I recently visited the resort and it was the perfect way to kick off our summer. From being greeted with champagne at check-in to treating the girls to a tasty treat at the ‘Weird Science’ ice cream social and more, we had fun exploring and relaxing together as a family.
Some of the other great activities featured during the Enchanted Evenings include –
Family S’mores Night – gather the kids around the fire pits near the pool for a night of marshmallows, chocolates and watch the fireworks from neighboring Walt Disney World light up the sky.
Water Walkers – You can’t help but smile as you take to the water upon an inflatable sphere and walk across the water. It’s fun for all ages.
Kids Club Astoria After Dark – Parents, take a well-deserved time out and let the kids have fun with a night filled with activities just for them.
Twilight Horse and Carriage Rides – Tour the property in your personal twilight horse and carriage ride. Your little ones will think they are princes and princesses and parents can enjoy champagne and strawberries during the 30 minute ride.
Bagpipes at Sunset – On Saturday evenings just before sunset, grab a seat by the pool and enjoy the sounds of a bagpipe player performs as the sun goes down for the day. It was the highlight of my trip and a relaxing way to end the day.
Some activities require an additional fee to participate, be sure to consult the Enchanted Evenings guide upon arrival.
And when you visit the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, be sure to treat yourself to the breakfast buffet at Oscar’s – they have the most amazing homemade pop tarts – made with fresh fruit. They are fantastic!
