Dress You Up: Homecoming Dress Distribution
You’ve heard of being all dressed up with nowhere to go, but it would be worse to have somewhere to go, like a homecoming dance, but not have a dress. The Belle of the Ball project has been doing its part to ensure that doesn’t happen to in-need high school girls. The organization collects formal dresses and accessories all year long, and distributes them during prom and homecoming season. Homecoming distribution season kicks off this Saturday, at the boutique location in Clearwater. Choose from a huge inventory of over 3,000 dresses. A $1-$5 donation is suggested but not necessary. No referral or appointment is needed. Additional distribution dates are Sept. 30, Oct. 12 and Oct. 21, and donations can also be made during distribution times. The event runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 1210 Holt Ave.
