Michigan, South Carolina to meet again in Outback

For the second time in five years, Michigan and South Carolina will square off in the Outback Bowl.

The matchup was finalized and formally announced Sunday afternoon. The game will kick off at noon on New Year's Day at Raymond James Stadium.

"Michigan proudly accepts the invitation to have our student-athletes, coaches and fans experience the Outback Bowl this holiday season," Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said in a news release. "On our previous five trips to Tampa, the Outback Bowl staff has provided a first-class, memorable experience for everyone associated with our program."

USC, then coached by Steve Spurrier, won the previous Outback encounter, 33-28, in a game perhaps remembered best for this viral Jadeveon Clowney hit on Michigan's Vincent Smith.
