PLANT CITY – After a decade of wine-making, Keel and Curley Winery is about to add its own line of beer.
The winery is planning a celebration from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday to launch its Two Henrys Brewing Co.
The festival, called Biertoberfest, will include bands and a corn hole tournament at the winery, 5210 W. Thonotosassa Road.
“This will be the first time anyone (customers) has tried it,” said Clay Keel, the winery’s vice president of production and head of brewing.
Members of three local home brewing clubs have been invited to set up booths and offer free samples at Biertoberfest, Keel said. Full glasses of Two Henrys beer will be available for sale, he said.
There is no admission charge although VIP tickets that include separate seating, bar and restrooms cost $25 in advance or $35 at the event.
Two Henrys beer was named in honor of Henry B. Plant, for whom Plant City was named, and fellow railroad magnate Henry Flagler.
Keel expects the Two Henrys beer will be available in Plant City area restaurants and the winery’s tasting room.

Sponsors of Biertoberfest include The Tampa Tribune, which is owned by the same company that publishes the Plant City Courier.
