Oct. 3, 2014 may seem a long way away, but for Tampa-area preteen fans of arguably the hottest band in pop music today, that date can’t get here soon enough.
That’s the day British boy band One Direction will be coming to Raymond James Stadium.
A day after word of the tour date leaked Monday morning, Live Nation announced the band’s Raymond James Stadium date.
Tickets for the Where We Are 2014 tour go on sale 10 a.m. Dec. 7 at livenation.com, which also has information about pre-sale opportunities.
Tickets are $39.50 to $99.50 and will easily fit into a stocking.
The official dates of the North American tour, which coincides with today’s worldwide release of the band’s latest album “Midnight Memories,” were announced this morning with a special live performance on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
The North American tour dates will follow a world tour starting in April.
Ticket presales will begin today at 11 a.m. for Citi credit-card holders. For more information, visit the Citi Private Pass website. Fans also can purchase tickets beginning Dec. 3 by signing up for a Facebook RSVP.
The band on Sunday won the American Music Awards for favorite pop/rock album for “Take Me Home” and favorite pop/rock band.
