Loretta Lynn to perform in concert in St. Petersburg
The coal miner’s daughter is coming to St. Petersburg. Singer Loretta Lynn, whose story of growing up in Kentucky poverty before being married at 13 and becoming a mother of four by 18 was immortalized in the film “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” plays the Mahaffey Theater on Sept. 14. Now 81, Lynn’s career in music has spanned 53 years, and 51 top-10 country hits, including “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough” and “Don’t Come Home A’Drinkin (With Lovin’ On Your Mind).”
