Imagine Dragons to play Tampa in September
It looks like Imagine Dragons have moved up in the world since the last time they came to town. The Las Vegas band, who rocked a sold out show at the Ritz Ybor last year, announced it’s extending its summer tour and coming back to Tampa to play the 10,000-plus seat USF Sun Dome Sept. 24. Imagine Dragons dropped out of the lineup at 97X Next Big Thing in December in St. Petersburg due to illness. In the meantime Imagine Dragons has literally become a big thing, scoring huge radio hits with the tracks “Radioactive” and “It’s Time.” Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through livenation.com or the Sun Dome box office at 4202 E. Fowler Ave.Tickets will be priced at $39.50 and $34.50.
