Diana Ross to play Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg
Famed Motown hit-maker Diana Ross is set to perform at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg on Sept. 10. Ross, who rose to fame as leader of the legendary R&B girl group The Supremes in the 1960s, went on to become a hugely successful solo artist with hits such as “Aint No Mountain High Enough” and “Reach Out And Touch (Somebody’s Hand),” and her 1981 duet with Lionel Richie, “Endless Love.” Inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1988, she was named the “Most Successful Female Vocalist of All Time” by Guinness World Records in 1993.
