Boss in Tampa? Jessica Springsteen competing at RayJay
Keep an eye out for a music legend around Tampa this weekend. Jessica Springsteen, daughter of iconic rocker Bruce Springsteen, will be in town for the Gene Mische American Invitational horse show jumping competition at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday. A senior official with the event said he definitely expects Bruce to be there cheering on his Boss-spring. “All you need to do is look at his concert schedule to know if he’ll be there,” the official said, referring to a conspicuous gap in dates this month for Springsteen’s Wrecking Ball Tour in Europe. “Her parents are usually there when she competes, and this is one of the biggest show jumping events in the country.” Last September, the Associated Press reported that Jessica Springsteen bought a gold medal-winning horse from the London Olympics with hopes of competing in the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
