Allman Brothers, Widespread Panic to headline Wanee festival

Widespread Panic, Gov't Mule and the Tedeschi Trucks Band will join The Allman Brothers Band at this year's Wanee Music Festival, held April 18 through 20 at the Spirit of Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak.

Tickets for the three-day festival, hosted annually by The Allman Brothers Band, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. for $195 at waneefestival.tickets.musictoday.com. Tickets include three nights of "primitive camping."

Among the other bands scheduled to perform are Jaimoe's Jasssz Band, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Leon Russell, Tower of Power and Les Claypool's Duo de Twang.

The festival also features Jorma Kaukonen's "Fur Peace Ranch," a series of musician/songwriter workshops and lessons guided by professional musicians.
