Zac Snyder, director of "300" and "Watchmen," takes on the most iconic of comic-book heroes with "Man of Steel," the latest attempt to put Superman back into flight. Reviewers are calling it a somber, darker version of the Kryptonian's story, with Russell Crow playing Superman's father Jor-El, Michael Shannon as the evil General Zod and Henry Cavill as Clark Kent aka Superman. IMAGINE ME AND YOU (Friday) Expect peace and harmonies when the Happy Together Tour featuring The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie, Chuck Negron, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap and Paul Revere & The Raiders rolls into Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets cost $40 to $65. TRUCK GRUB (Friday) It's the second Friday of the month, which means that the Brews and Bites Food Truck Rally is returning to the Sail Pavilion in downtown Tampa. The after-work party features a fleet of area food trucks, live bands, prize drawings and craft beers. ROCK TREASURES (Opening Friday) Want to see Kurt Cobain's yearbook, John Lennon's eyeglasses and Bob Marley's guitar? Those items, plus many more pieces of music memorabilia will be on display at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 24 hours a day, through June 22. There's no charge to view the exhibit. DOG DAYS (Saturday and Sunday) Renowned "Dog Whisperer" and TV star Cesar Millan brings his "Cesar Millan Live!" tour to the Straz Center, where he'll offer the audience a crash course on doggie discipline and the methods he uses as he "trains humans and rehabilitates dogs." Tickets are $39.25 and $49.25. On Saturday and Sunday, you can see proud pooches strut their stuff at the AKC All Breed Dog Show at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children. AIR IT OUT (Saturday) Who needs a real guitar to rock out? The U.S. Air Guitar Championships are holding a regional qualifier at Octave in St. Petersburg, and the winner will move on to the national championships. So pick a song (we're suggesting "Enter Sandman"), strap on your imaginary axe and get into the competition for $10. Or you can pay just $3 to watch. DAD DEALS (Saturday and Sunday) Dad's get free Father's Day admission with a paying guest at Dinosaur World (Sunday), the Florida Aquarium (Saturday or Sunday), the Tampa Bay History Center (Sunday), the Glazer Children's Museum (Sunday) and the Lowry Park Zoo (Saturday or Sunday). ROAD TRIP (Sunday) Let's all go to Walley World with the Griswolds as "National Lampoon's Vacation" screens at Tampa Theatre as part of its summer classics series. We promise the theater won't be closed. Tickets for the screening - part of the theater's weekly summer classics series - are $9. ROCKIN' SISTERS (Tuesday) Newly-inducted Rock And Roll Hall of Famers Ann and Nancy Wilson, better known as Heart, will perform hits such as "Barracuda," "Crazy On You" and "Magic Man" at the MidFlorida Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience will be there too. Tickets run from $33.75 to $69. CHANGE OF LIFE (Opening Wednesday) Hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and other midlife changes are more comedic than tragic in the hit show "Menopause the Musical," coming to the Straz Center. BEARS ROAM YBOR (Wednesday) Brooklyn-bred, indie-rock heroes Grizzly Bear stop at the Ritz Ybor just a week after playing a killer set for nearly 20,000 fans at the massive Governor's Ball festival in New York. Fans of arty, experimental and dreamy rock won't want to miss them during their first-ever headlining show in Tampa. Tickets are $28.50. ON THE CHEAP Cigar City Brewery tour: Ticket purchase gets you a tour of the brewery workings, a pint of beer and a souvenir glass,; every hour noon to 4 p.m. Saturday; $5, visit cigarcitybrewing.com to pre-register. Free bucket of balls: Kids can hit a free bucket of balls at the driving range every day this summer at Ace Golf Range in Brandon. The range opens at 8 a.m. daily. Secrets of scat: Park rangers lead a free discussion of the clues left behind by native animals, including a view of preserved specimens at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wheedon Island Preserve in St. Petersburg.
