Pinellas Park motorcyclist dies in Howard Frankland crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a Saturday afternoon wreck on the Howard Frankland Bridge, authorities said.
The victim, operating a 2007 Kawasaki GX600, was identified as Justin Mullins, 26, of Pinellas Park. He was southbound in the outside lane when he switched lanes abruptly and struck a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Jon Gaudino, 47, of St. Petersburg, said Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
The collision threw Mullins from the bike along with a passenger, Jessica Mullins, 26, also of Pinellas Park. She ended up on the shoulder and suffered only minor injuries, troopers said.
Justin Mullins ended up in the road and was run over by 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jeffrey Petitt, 51, of Holmes Beach. The motorcycle then slammed into the right side of 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser, driven by Matthew Mcintee of Chicago.
Gaudino, Petitt and Mcintee were not injured.
Mullins, troopers said, died at the scene.
The wreck occurred at 3:15 p.m. Saturday near Mile Marker 35.
No charges were filed.
