Here's a good argument to start at the bar: Who's a better American rock band, Creedence Clearwater Revival or ZZ Top?

Bad Moon Rising vs. Sharp Dressed Man. Lodi vs. La Grange. Fortunate Son vs. Cheap Sunglasses. It's a tough one, isn't it?

While you debate that, rejoice in this: CCR's John Fogerty and ZZ Top are going on tour together this summer, and they're planning a stop in Clearwater.

The concert is set for June 2 at Coachman Park, and is presented by the city of Clearwater and Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets are $40 and up, and they go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Click here for details.

Now all we have to do is make sure ZZ Top makes it. Over the last five years, they've canceled or postponed four shows in Tampa Bay, most recently a headlining gig at Ribfest in November. Hopefully all three members are up and well enough to make this tour stick.
