Fox News to use Tampa Bay History Center during RNC
TAMPA - Fox News is scheduled to use the Tampa Bay History Center during the Republican National Convention this August. The network is renting large portions of the 60,000-square-foot museum, at 801 Old Water St., said Manny Leto, the museum's director of marketing. The museum is adjacent to the Forum, site of the RNC from Aug. 27 to 30. The network will have its news desk in the museum's main atrium, and its staff will use TECO Hall and be served by the Columbia cafe, Leto said. The history center will be closed to the public from Aug. 21 through Sept. 1. "This is a great opportunity for the history center and a great way to highlight the history of our city and our region," said C.J. Roberts, president and CEO of the museum.
