Delta charter plane skids off runway in Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE - Military officials say a chartered Delta Airlines jet has run off the runway at Jacksonville Naval Air Station during stormy weather. The 167 passengers aboard the flight were coming from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba when the Boeing 737 ran into mud after leaving the runway Saturday night. Base public affairs officer Miriam Gallet said no one was injured and the incident is under review. The Florida Times-Union reports that Delta was arranging a flight through Jacksonville International Airport to carry passengers headed to Norfolk, Virginia.
