BRANDON — Artists 18 and older are being called to compete for prizes in the Tampa Hispanic Heritage’s 28th Anniversary Visual Art Poster Contest Celebration.
The theme, which remains the same from year to year, is each artist’s interpretation of the past, present and future influence of Hispanic heritage on the Tampa Bay area.
Posters will be used for promotional purposes. Some of the proceeds from sales of posters and other merchandise on which the winning poster image is printed will fund college scholarships for Hispanic students.
A grand prize of $1,200, second place $700 and third $300 will be judged according to artistic merit, interpretation of theme, and graphic effect as a poster and overall visual impact.
